Mercedes Mone appeared on Friday’s CMLL show in Arena Mexico to confront her AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door opponent Stephanie Vaquer. Vaquer defeated La Catalina on the show to retain the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship, then Mone entered for a confrontation that turned physical. Mone promised to defeat Vaquer in their title-for-title bout at Forbidden Door, and Vaquer responded with a promo telling Mone to speak Spanish because she’s in Vaquer’s house, before vowing to add the TBS title to her collection. The two briefly exchanged punches before being pulled apart. Mone also briefly held up Vaquer’s NJPW Strong title before throwing it at Vaquer and leaving the ring.
