AEW WrestleDream Preview (10/18/25) – Match Card, Time, How to Watch

This year, AEW WrestleDream comes from St Louis’ Chaifetz Arena and, like the previous PPVs headlined by AEW Men’s World champion, Hangman Adam Page, a sense of unfolding transition can be felt across the card.

Change in wrestling is inevitable, but the process can be slow and gradual or happen in the blink of an eye. Across the card, characters are in flux. Outcomes will illuminate their next set of choices on the road to becoming someone new.

Winning $500K could see The Young Bucks repeat their mistakes. For Jack Perry and Luchasauras, victory and a big bag of money would cement their reunion and further aid the rehabilitation of the Scapegoat. If Brodido can overcome a former and the current IWGP World Heavyweight champion, it sets the groundwork for perhaps the most anticipated Continental Classic yet.

The outcomes will shape AEW’s future.

 I Quit

A final meeting between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley showed they are no longer the same type of foils. Reminiscent of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, when Batman comes face-to-face with The Joker, the commonality between them has dissolved. Moxley himself claims to be fighting something more than his ghosts, as if he has evolved beyond the stage where Allin is.

Although no longer a caricature of himself, and with the Death Riders once again an enjoyable act, Mox’s mission statement has been achieved. Allin fights for freedom and for the future of AEW.

It’s a rigged game, because what will it take for either man to quit? How is it going to end? With blood and violence, this could be a death match unlike any AEW has seen. Will the result end the Death Riders? Or a new phrase in Moxley’s revolution? Or will Allin finally get the big win over Moxley that has alluded him since day one?

Defining Who They Are

Famous last words on Wednesday highlighted the stakes and importance of the AEW Women’s World Championship to the champion and challenger. “Timeless,” Toni Storm claims that she is the title. Without it, she is nothing and uncertain of her future.

Contrastingly, Kris Statlander, an enigma, constantly evolves—never the same month-to-month. The match and storytelling in this first-time contest could be one of the division’s greatest matches.

The outcome will redefine the winner. Win or lose, “Timeless” Toni Storm cannot linger on past glories. Win or lose, Kris Statlander, more than a woman, more than an alien, will have to continue to become an icon like Storm. This may be the beginning of this rivalry.
