AEW World Heavyweight Champion MJF vs. Samoa Joe took place at the AEW Worlds End pay-per-view event from Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. Adam Cole was at ringside on crutches.

Joe targeted the left shoulder of MJF and went for the muscle buster early but MJF got out of it. MJF went for the kangaroo kick, but Joe blocked it and tossed him to the ring apron where Joe kicked him in the head. Joe with a dive to the floor. Joe with a muscle buster on the ring apron. MJF avoided another one and kicked him in the back. MJF with the heat seeker. They traded armbars. There was a referee bump and MJF was immediately smiling. MJF with a low blow and hit an F5. The referee woke up and counted 2. MJF got the diamond ring, but Joe put him in the rear-naked choke. Joe with the sleeper and choked out MJF.

Winner: Samoa Joe

After the match, MJF was crying as Cole tried to talk with him. Four of the Devil’s masked men came out and attacked MJF. They held back Cole. The lights went out and back on with Cole sitting in a chair looking at MJF. The masked men were revealed to be Roderick Strong, Wardlow, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett.
