Bayley vs. Naomi: SmackDown Results for September 27th

Bayley and Naomi fought in the No.1 Contender Series on SmackDown and the winner would challenge Nia Jax for the title. Nia Jax grabs Tiffany in the locker room where she asks her about the event and things that happened in last week’s event. Tiffany repeats her apologies and at last, tells her that she has been suffering from an injury. Nia tells Tiffany that if things go against her, then the result will be very unpleasant for her. She then taps her on the arm and states, “There, now we are friends again.” Nia then leaves Tiffany alone and goes on her way.

Impressive Start of the Match

Bayley’s music hits the loudspeakers and she comes into the ring for the number one contender match. Once she’s in the ring, the segment goes for the first break of the night. After the break, the match begins immediately and the bell for the match is rung. The first attempt was by Naomi to hit her hard but her opponent saved herself. Bayley then acts like she is about to hit her opponent but pulls back at the last minute.

Naomi pushes her but then Bayley pushes her in return. Bayley hits her with a shoulder tackle followed by a clothesline, and so she stumbles back to the mat. She goes for a pin, but Naomi shows some strikes to kick out. Bayley grabs her arm and brings her down to the mat through an arm drag. After that, she attempts to hit Naomi in the face with her knees but she escapes and hits Bayley with a bulldog. Naomi drop kicks her opponent into the ropes and she falls out of the ring on her head. Then, she does a spin splash off the ropes and onto Bayley.

Last Dominance of Noami Against Bayley

After the break, we see Bayley executing a back suplex while the other drags herself out of the ring. As she is outside the ring recovering from the previous damages, Bayley follows her outside of the ring, and after exchanging a few hits, we see them again in the ring. Naomi drives her back to the corner as she enters and tries to drive her back to the ropes. She tries to pin Bayley, yet she backs up and kicks out. Naomi then starts to kick and punch her on the head. Naomi goes for a second pin but again, her opponent kicks out.

Last Moments

Naomi tries to punch her in the head, however, her opponent counters and performs a neckbreaker on her face down on the mat. Naomi slides to the side and after that tries to pin her opponent, but the latter kicks out on the count of one. Naomi slips and fails as she goes straight into the turnbuckles and hits her head hard in them. She then gets on the top rope and jumps to hit Bayley’s head but she manages to move away.

She easily gets back up and as Bayley goes for the pin she again goes for her famous signature move. Bayley then retrieves herself to the top rope and delivers an elbow drop on her opponent. She goes for the cover, and the referee counts to three, and Bayley becomes the No.1 Contender to fight Nia Jax. What are your thoughts about her win?
