Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan engage in heated confrontation ahead of their clash at King and Queen of the Ring
Steve Lanava / USA TODAY NETWORK / USA TODAY NETWORK

Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan had an intense faceoff at yesterday’s kickoff event. However, Daddio had other plans as she continued her mind games with the champion. The Man is scheduled to defend her Women’s World Title against Morgan at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE in Saudi Arabia.

The superstars who are going to feature at the premium live event made an appearance at the kickoff event. Becky Lynch came out first to address the fans and talk about her match. However, she didn’t know that her rival, Liv Morgan, was sneaking up on her to attack. The champion turned around at the right time, forcing Morgan to back off. This confrontation between both stars could only add more fuel to an already heated rivalry.

This is not the first time the 29-year-old star has troubled the champion. On the May 6 episode of Raw, she left her alone in the ring while both were surrounded by members of Damage CTRL. Since Morgan returned to WWE, she has been on her revenge tour, injuring Rhea Ripley and forcing her to relinquish her championship. Now, she is looking forward to taking that championship from Lynch.

Meanwhile, after failing to win the title against Mami at WrestleMania XL, Big Time Becks seized the opportunity with both hands. She won the 15-woman battle royal for the vacant Women’s World title and became the new champion on the April 22 episode of Raw. It will be interesting to see whether Lynch manages to retain her belt in her very first title defense or not.

Vince Russo doesn’t look at Liv Morgan as a professional wrestler

Liv Morgan came under serious fire from WWE veteran Vince Russo. He expressed his honest opinion on stars who do not demonstrate professionalism. As such, Morgan was one of the few names he used when discussing someone who wasn’t that professional.

While speaking on the UnSKripted podcast, Russo stated that stars like Daddio and Indi Hartwell didn’t have what it took to be professional wrestlers. He said that from the whole roster of SmackDown and Raw, only 10 percent are professional. Some of the notable names the veteran took were Randy Orton , Roman Reigns , and Gunther

Randy Orton is a professional. Roman Reigns is a professional. Gunther is a professional. AJ Styles is a professional. Liv Morgan is not a professional. Indi Hartwell is not a professional… And that's my problem. You are calling it professional wrestling. Vince Russo via the UnSKripted

Since Vince McMahon ‘s departure, terms like “wrestlers” and “professional wrestling” have been frequently used. Many fans didn’t agree with his opinion, especially when the criticism was directed at Morgan. It will be interesting to see whether she proves everyone wrong in her upcoming title clash or not.
