Oba Femi has been hailed by Booker T who says he is ready for the main roster after dropping the NXT Championship to Ricky Saints. The Destroyer has dominated Tuesday nights and could soon be arriving on RAW or SmackDown.

Booker T Advises WWE To 'Pull The Trigger' With Oba Femi

That's Booker T's verdict of the 27-year-old who has been with WWE since October 2021, debuting on NXT Level Up in November 2022. He has been booked as a monster in developmental, first winning the NXT North American Championship before going on a tear as NXT Champion until last Saturday.

Oba Femi and Ricky Saints put on an excellent match for the title at No Mercy and the title changed hands, ending the Nigerian's reign at 262 days. His loss has inevitably been met with calls for Triple H to bring him to either RAW or SmackDown.

Booker T applauded the title match and commended Oba for playing a "quarterback" role at such a young age. He added: "I commend Oba Femi for literally picking this business up and understanding... I hope and I wish for so many more of these young guys to be able to take it and pick that up. Because he doesn't go out there and do a whole lot in the ring, but everything is so impressive, everything is so believable, and he's come such a long way in such a short amount of time."

Oba has nothing left to do on NXT after dropping the gold and TheSportster's NXT Call Up Power Rankings predict he is the current frontrunner to be called up to WWE's main roster. That's a stance Booker echoed: "Let's just say this, I think Oba can run with the big dogs. He can do it right now. Do I think he's ready? Yes I do. I'm not running the show, I'm not pulling the strings or anything like that, but I like everything about Oba Femi and I think if they were to pull the trigger with him, they could do very, very well, I really do."

If WWE do call Oba up its important they have a plan for the Ruler because he is a unique talent who should be treated as a special attraction. We have seen how the stacked rosters on RAW and SmackDown can derail a push for big men such as Jacob Fatu who many envisioned would be in the world title picture after his red-hot start.

Triple H is a 'Very Big Fan' of Oba Femi

It's not just Booker T who is a supporter of Oba Femi as WWE's chief content officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque is reportedly a 'very big fan', per Fightful Select. There isn't a more important individual to get on board than The Game who will be working with and booking the Nigerian powerhouse once he receives a call up.

Oba can take comfort in Levesque's recent booking of the likes of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed who he's placed into a main storyline on RAW. He may view the Ruler as a potential long-term Brock Lesnar replacement with the pair possessing some clear similarities regarding size, strength and their quick rises during the starts of their respective WWE careers.

Triple H praised Oba at NXT Roadblock earlier this year for taking a "giant step in his career" after defeating TNA star Moose. It will be intriguing to see which brand he'd be called up to if he does indeed make the jump in the near future.
