Brock Lesnar Returns to WWE 2K25 as Part of John Cena Farewell Tour DLC

So Lesnar, who made his WWE return after two years at SummerSlam 2025 to attack Cena, is going to be part of Cena’s Farewell Tour DLC, according to SmackTalks. Now, with this upcoming DLC, he will be a playable character for the first time since WWE 2K23.

As noted, Lesnar was not a playable character in the last game, WWE 2K24, due to the Janel Grant lawsuit. In Grant’s 2024 lawsuit against former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, Lesnar was first named as the “star wrestler.” Grant later identified Lesnar in the revised February 2025 lawsuit as the wrestler that Vince allegedly offered her up for sex in 2021 as an “incentive for Lesnar to sign a new contract.” At the time of this writing, the case remains pending.

Lesnar had his first match since losing to Cody Rhodes at the 2023 SummerSlam on September 20 at Wrestlepalooza. He ended up defeating Cena in the match, and it was brutal. Fans were not happy with how the match went. There was no offense for Cena, and not a good look for his farewell tour.

Fan Reaction To Brock Lesnar Returning To WWE 2K

From the looks of it, fan reaction is mixed. One fan was only going to get the DLC package because of Lesnar. The fan said:

“Da–n, that's another 10 bucks I gotta buy lol. Just for Brock Lesnar. Everyone else don't matter.”

While one fan seemed pretty irritated that Lesnar made it in the 2K25 game before AJ Lee. Lee made her WWE return this year, too. Her return was during the September 5 episode of WWE SmackDown. Lee also made her return to the ring at Wrestlepalooza. The fan wrote:

“Can't believe Brock made it in over AJ Lee.”

Another fan was excited about Lesnar being in the game. They wrote:

“Oh yeah, Beast is back, love to see it.”

Other comments included complaints about the price and annoyance about how Lesnar looks in the game. Along with Lesnar, who has a 94 Powerhouse score, the DLC includes the WrestleMania 41 version of John Cena, the 2003 version of John Cena, and R-Truth Ron Cena. WWE 2K25 was released on March 14, 2025.
