WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced on Tuesday, September 30, a new match for this upcoming Friday’s episode of SmackDown. The match will see The Vision’s Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker coming to SmackDown to face Randy Orton and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

Aldis shared the video on X. In the video, he said that since Reed and Breakker like to be involved in “people’s business,” they can get involved in his business this Friday. He said:
“Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker seem to enjoy getting involved in other people’s business as of late. And having just wrapped up a phone call with my esteemed colleague, Adam Pearce over at Monday Night Raw, we agreed that they can get involved in my business this Friday night on SmackDown.”
Last Friday’s (September 26) episode of SmackDown saw Rhodes and Paul Heyman banter back and forth before being interrupted by Breakker and Reed. They attacked Rhodes, and Orton came out to help him. Setting up for a future match. So far, this is the only match announced for the Friday, October 3 edition of SmackDown. The event is set to take place at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
There is a reason why the Vision is paying more attention to Cody. He’s set to face WWE Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel: Perth on October 11. The winner will be the Men’s Crown Jewel Champion. Rhodes became the inaugural Men’s Crown Jewel Champion last year in Saudi Arabia. The first Women’s Champion went to Liv Morgan. This year, it will be WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton versus WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.
This past Monday, Rollins and Rhodes also went face-to-face, and Rhodes brought up Breakker and Reed coming to SmackDown. He gave the credit to Heyman, basically saying that Rollins is not the leader of the group. The last time that Rhodes and Rollins faced each other in singles action on a PLE was all the way back in June 2022. The match saw Rhodes defeat Seth Rollins in a Hell in a Cell match at the Hell In A Cell PLE. So it’s been a bit since these two WWE titans faced each other.
