On the most recent episode of SmackDown, Chelsea Green marked a monumental event, including a title change. With all of the various title matches on the card, which one stands out as special? It’s a couple of Canadians marking their stamp over Mexico and the United States from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. How did WWE end up with two double-champions from Canada on its payroll?
This story started in NXT back on May 27, 2025. “All Ego” Ethan Page defeated “Absolute” Rick Saints for the NXT North American Championship on the show’s weekly feature. Page holds the championship to this day, and quickly put his personal touch on the strap. The leather strap was adorned with a red-and-white Canadian flag.

The next part of the puzzle was aided by the company’s recent acquisition of AAA. This opened a highway between the two companies, largely focused on the acquired promotion and the developmental NXT. Teaming up with country-mate Green, Page got an opportunity at the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship. The duo defeated former champions La Heidra and Mr. Iguana during AAA’s Alianzas show in San Pedro Garza García in Nuevo Leon. The two stars are the reigning champions.
Green finished off this journey towards two Canadian double-champions on the November 7, 2025, episode of SmackDown. The former WWE Women’s United States Champion received another opportunity at the title against the bright up-and-comer, Giula. Using her feet on the rope for leverage during the pin, the leader of the Secret Hervis grabbed the championship before going to celebrate with Page at ringside.
