Chelsea Green Wins WWE Women's United States Title on SmackDown

So in less than two minutes, Green defeated Giulia with a surprise roll-up and by putting her feet on the ropes. Kiana James was at ringside and decided to help Giulia by hitting Green with an elbow. Well, Green’s bodyguard, Alba Fyre, hit James with a superkick. That caught Giulia’s attention, and while she attacked Fyre, that’s when Green went in for the roll-up.

This win makes Green the first two-time WWE Women’s United States Champion. Green was the inaugural champion after she defeated Michin in the tournament finals on December 12, 2024, at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Green would hold the title until the April 25, 2025, episode of SmackDown, when she would lose it to Zelina. Zelina would then lose the title to Giulia on the June 27, 2025, episode of SmackDown. So now, Green is back as the champ.

Chelsea Green’s Other Title And More SmackDown Surprises

This win makes Green a double champion since she and WWE NXT star Ethan Page became the new AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions on November 2 at Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide’s Day of the Dead event. Now she and both Page are double champions. Page is also the NXT North American Champion. It’s worth mentioning that Page was on tonight’s episode to celebrate with Green. He lifted her in the air, and she held both of her titles with pride.

It was confirmed earlier this week that NXT star Thea Hail and TNA star Joe Hendry will be Green and Page’s first opponents since they became the champions. The match will happen on November 18, 2025, at NXT Gold Rush. WWE will be splitting it into two episodes. The first will air live, and the second is taped and will be set for the week after, on November 25. NXT Gold Rush will be airing on The CW.

Surprisingly, Green winning the title wasn’t the only shocking thing to happen on this past Friday’s episode. Drew McIntyre was suspended for attacking the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and an official. NXT star Lash Legend made an appearance and aligned herself with Nia Jax, which means that she has been called up to the main roster.
