Warhammer is having a wrestling crossover, with Claudio Castagnoli and Kip Sabian set to appear in a special exhibition match.

The AEW duo will feature at the Age of Sigmar’s 4th edition – Mortal Realms Reforged preview. This will take place at Arlington eSports Stadium on May 16th and 17th. While they usually compete in the wrestling ring, they will swap that for the gaming table for this special exhibition.

In the official announcement by Warhammer, they revealed that Claudio Castagnoli and Kip Sabian will play as Skaven and Stormcast Eternal. It is the very first live game of Spearhead ever streamed. This is a big deal in the fandom.

Warhammer wrote:

“You’ll be able to watch a special exhibition match of Spearhead between the AEW wrestlers Kip Sabian and Claudio Castagnoli. Who will be playing as Skaven and Stormcast Eternals. This will be the first ever live game of Spearhead, and it’s sure to be an absolute treat.”

This is not the first time that wrestlers have dabbled in tabletop games. Paul Wight (The Big Show) was part of Joe Manganiello’s famous celebrity Dungeons and Dragons game. However his current affiliation is unknown.

Shayna Baszler also revealed herself to be a Warhammer fan. She appeared alongside Xavier Woods on UpUpDownDown on YouTube, in multiple Warhammer-based episodes.

Shayna Baszler is campaigning for a spot in the upcoming Warhammer 40,000 series.

WrestleZone spoke with Shayna Baszler about her Warhammer 40,000 fandom. Amazon Studios and Henry Cavill are  working on a television adaptation of the game, and Baszler wants it known that she’d be a great addition to the cast.

“Henry, there’s no other female out there and you’re going to need — look, I’m not going to get into the female space rate argument because I actually am whatever about that,” she stated. “But you need female characters in the show and there’s no bigger badass Warhammer 40K fan than me. So, let’s do this. And I know the IP is important to you. I will stick true to the lore. I’m a big fan of sticking to the source material. Let’s do this.”
