CM Punk 'Is Done' - Kevin Nash Launches Astonishing Attack on WWE Star
via WWE

Kevin Nash has heavily criticized CM Punk , suggesting he is over the hill and not performing as a WWE World Heavyweight Champion should. Punk has been champion since November 1st, when he defeated Jey Uso for the vacant title at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Kevin Nash Takes Aim at CM Punk

The Best in the World claimed earlier this year that this run with WWE is the best of his career. The 47-year-old will be defending his title against Bron Breakker at the RAW on Netflix anniversary show on January 5th.

It will be their first one-on-one meeting, which WWE has been building to, and Punk was in action last Monday on RAW, teaming up with Rey Mysterio against Austin Theory and Bronson Reed of The Vision. It was his display in this match which caught Kevin Nash's attention and the WWE Hall of Famer wasn't impressed.

Nash took issue with Punk's attire and punches and aired this on the Kliq This Podcast:

"I watched (CM) Punk in the main event of that match last Monday. Number one, if you’re the Heavyweight Champion of the WWE and you wrestle in a t-shirt? Ouch. Number two, his punches looked really slow, he looked slow. I think he’s done. I think Bron (Breakker) should beat him."

Punk and Nash have a long-standing history of issues, including tension stemming from their working together back in 2011. One of the WWE star's promos at the time insulted Nash's age and relevance, and he felt as though he was trying to bury him.

RAW's world champion insisted he has no plans to retire right now after watching John Cena call time on his career earlier this month. He's heading into 2026 as a seven-time WWE world champion.

Triple H Might Not Agree With Kevin Nash

CM Punk returned to WWE in November 2023 after nine years away from the company and made amends with Triple H. If it weren't for Paul Levesque taking over creative and Vince McMahon departing, Punk most likely wouldn't have agreed to come back.

WWE's chief content officer, Triple H, noticed a change in Punk a year after his return and expressed his excitement about working with the Voice of the Voiceless. He said on the post-Clash at the Castle press conference in June 2024:

"He has changed. I have got to tell you, it’s amazing. I am excited for the future and I’m excited to not just work with him, but to be around him.

He added:

"He’s a pleasure to be around in the locker room, a pleasure to be around as a performer. He’s a pleasure to be around, helping other guys to grow to change, to impart what he has learned, not only as a performer, but also as a person that was on the wrong side of things but maybe figured it out along the way."

Punk had spent months out of action due to injury and, at the time, admitted he questioned whether this was the end for him. But since he was cleared to compete, he's been a regular on RAW and at PLE, including WrestleMania 41, where he main-evented the Show of Shows for the first time in his career.
