CM Punk wants WWE singles match against Jacob Fatu

Though they’re on opposite brands right now, CM Punk hopes a singles match against Jacob Fatu is in his WWE future. Punk offered praise for the WWE roster in an interview published by Netflix this week, mentioning Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Gunther, and Finn Balor among the people he’s impressed by. Punk also took kayfabe shots at Dominik Mysterio and named Fatu and Rey Mysterio as two opponents he wants to face. “The women are carrying the show a lot of times,” Punk said. “I think Rhea Ripley is a superstar. Liv Morgan had an MVP year [in 2024]. I like watching Gunther compete. I hate Dominik Mysterio, that’s neither here nor there. Guys I want to work with — Jacob Fatu. Got a little taste at WarGames, but one-on-one stuff is my bread and butter, [there’s] more pressure that way … Finn Balor is fantastic.
