  • Cody and Brandi Rhodes welcomed their second daughter, Leilani Ella Runnels.
  • They kept the pregnancy private; Brandi announced Leilani's birth on X with a photo.
  • Cody missed Clash in Paris; rumor says he’ll defend the Undisputed title at Wrestlepalooza vs. Drew McIntyre.

Well, WWE’s Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes is a father of two now. If fans don’t remember hearing that Brandi Rhodes was pregnant, they are right, because the two seemed to keep it a secret. Brandi shared the birth announcement on Friday morning on X.

Cody And Brandi Welcome Their Second Daughter

Brandi shared a photo of her holding a baby hand with the sweet caption:

“Welcome to the world Leilani Ella Runnels. We are in love. Thank you God for answered prayers. Cody + Brandi + Libby + Lani.”

Just when fans thought that Seth Rollins' work about being "injured" ahead of SummerSlam was impressive, Cody and Brandi one-upped him by pretending that they weren't going to become a family of four now. Several wrestlers commented on Brandi’s post, including AEW star Sammy Guevara, who wrote, “Congratulations.”

A Brief Look At Brandi And Cody’s Relationship

The couple’s first daughter, Liberty Iris Runnels, was born on June 18, 2021. So they have two summer babies. Cody and Brandi have been married since 2013. They met while they were both in WWE. At the time, Brandi was known as ring announcer Eden Stiles.

They would both leave the company in 2016, bounce around in promotions such as TNA, ROH, and NJPW until the start of AEW in 2019. Cody was a Co-Executive Vice President in the promotion, while Brandi was AEW’s Chief Branding Officer.

The couple would depart AEW in February 2022, and Cody would return to WWE. Brandi, however, didn’t return to WWE with him. Though she did make an appearance in his ring entrance at WrestleMania XL on April 7, 2024. After Cody defeated Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship, she celebrated with him in the ring.

The baby news could be the reason why Cody is not part of this Sunday's Clash in Paris PLE and defending the WWE Championship. Though, Rollins is set to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship that night against LA Knight, Jey Uso, and CM Punk. As noted, it's been teased that Cody will be defending his title at the next PLE, Wrestlepalooza. The rumor is that he will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre. Anyway, big congrats go out to Cody, Brandi, and Libby, who is now a big sister!
