Cody Rhodes, Bayley to appear on WWE SmackDown

Cody Rhodes and Bayley will both appear on this Friday’s SmackDown.

It was announced on Monday that the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and WWE Women’s Champion respectively will appear on Friday’s show in Detroit, Michigan. Both were successful at WrestleMania 40, where Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns and Bayley defeated IYO SKY.

On Monday, Cody made his first WWE TV appearance since defeating Reigns. The Rock came out and ultimately told Cody that while he finished his story with Reigns at WrestleMania, their story wasn’t over. He then gave Cody something that the crowd didn’t see and told him to never break The Final Boss’ heart again.

Bayley defeated SKY in a match that pitted her against a member of her former group Damage CTRL. All of the group lost their matches at WrestleMania, with Kairi Sane, Asuka, and Dakota Kai losing to Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, and Naomi.
