Overview

  • Cody Rhodes praised The Rock's commitment to creating a new character to entertain the fans after achieving almost everything in WWE

Cody Rhodes praised The Rock's commitment to creating a new character to entertain the fans after achieving almost everything in WWE. The American Nightmare regarded 'The Final Boss' as one of the greatest characters in the history of Sports Entertainment. The Undisputed WWE Championship claimed that the character of The Final Boss has only been scratched on the surface.

Cody was in a show named 'All the Smoke Prod' where he was asked about his WWE Mount Rushmore. Rhodes had only good things, albeit their complex on-screen relationship. Cody regarded The Rock as one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time alongside Dusty Rhodes, John Cena, and Triple H.

"He came back to a very tumultuous WWE, a year or so ago, and decided, 'No, I'm not gonna deal with it, instead, I'm gonna create a new character, even though I'm already one of the greatest characters ever, that being the Final Boss,' and we've just scratched the surface on the Final Boss. There's something incredibly special there," Cody said.

Will The Rock return to WWE in the lead-up to WrestleMania 42?

The Rock was last present in a WWE show at the Elimination Chamber, where he ensured John turned heel. While he was expected to show up at WrestleMania and on some weekly shows, it was not the case.

Fans were upset by the fact that The Final Boss left the story with Cena empty and concentrated more on promoting 'The Smashing Machine,' his movie. As Cody said, The Rock has something special to offer; he might have hinted at his return in the lead-up to WrestleMania 42, especially as his movie didn't do great numbers at the Box Office.
