Cody Rhodes is back on WWE TV, and he has his sights set on John Cena.
"WWE Saturday Night's Main Event" was held inside Yuengling Center in Tampa. The 39th episode of the NBC special featured a non-title match between Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena and R-Truth.
Cena defeated R-Truth, but his night wasn't over. He attempted to cost Jey Uso his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Logan Paul, but it backfired. Rhodes made his return to stop Cena, and he planted him on the canvas with Cross Rhodes.
Uso ended up hitting Paul with a spear to retain his gold. After the main event, Rhodes suggested a tag team match for "Money in the Bank 2025." It'll be Rhodes and Uso taking on Cena and Paul on June 7.

Rhodes hadn't been featured on WWE programming since his "WrestleMania 41" loss against Cena. Thanks to an assist from musician Travis Scott, Cena was able to land a belt shot on "The American Nightmare" to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship.
During Rhodes' time away from the "SmackDown" brand, Cena scored a successful Undisputed WWE Championship defense against Randy Orton at "WWE Backlash." The aforementioned match with R-Truth was booked after Cena delivered an Attitude Adjustment to the man who once looked up to him during the post-event press conference.
With Rhodes now back in the picture, that means "The American Nightmare" is on the road to a title rematch. The question remains, when will Cena give Rhodes his rematch? All signs point to "SummerSlam" in East Rutherford, but time will tell if that is indeed the plan.
