'Cowards' - WWE Facing Backlash For Press Conference Decision
Joe Camporeale-Imagn Images.

Before the final night of SummerSlam kicked off, the WWE announced that it's getting rid of post-show press conferences. It didn't take long for people to figure out why.

After Cody Rhodes defeated John Cena to became the Undisputed WWE Champion, the fans at MetLife Stadium erupted into a frenzy. However, their excitement wasn't due to the match's ending. Instead, they were going wild because Brock Lesnar made his official return to the WWE.

Lesnar has been away from the WWE for roughly two years. Most fans believe his hiatus had to do with him being mentioned in a lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant.

Grant accused former WWE chairman Vince McMahon of wanting her to create "personalized sexual content" for Lesnar in July 2021. She also said McMahon flew Lesnar to Connecticut that year for a sexual encounter that ultimately didn't happen.

Since the WWE is done with post-show press conferences, WWE chief content officer Triple H doesn't have to face any questions about Lesnar or Grant's lawsuit.

While some fans are excited about Lesnar's return to the WWE, others are calling out Triple H and the company's leadership group for ducking hard-hitting questions.

"Oh gee. I wonder why? Cowards," one person wrote on X. "If you're gonna bring that dude back, have the GUTS to take questions about it. This is what cracks me up about MAGA. They claim to be tough guys. But question or criticize them and they wilt like little daisies in the rain."

"Such a lame company man," a second person said.

"And now we know why.. he’s such a coward," a third person commented.

"They were stupid anyway for storylines. But how convenient to bring back Brock and work with people in the White House... I wouldn't want to answer questions either. Coward. Be a man and face the questions," a fourth person said.

Some fans are so angry they're planning to boycott this Monday's episode of RAW."

Hopefully, the WWE addresses their fans' concerns sooner rather than later.
