Damian Priest challenges Drew McIntyre for WWE WrestleMania 41

Another WWE WrestleMania 41 bout came one step closer to fruition on Friday’s SmackDown. Damian Priest issued a challenge to Drew McIntyre for WrestleMania 41 in a vignette on Friday’s episode, although the match has yet to be made official for the April 19 and April 20 two-night event. McIntyre vs. Priest has been heavily teased since this year’s Royal Rumble match where Priest eliminated McIntyre from the contest. In an angle on last week’s SmackDown in London, Priest slammed McIntyre on a car windshield backstage, with McIntyre claiming that he legitimately got glass in his eye from the angle. McIntyre wore an eye patch for his backstage promo segment on this week’s SmackDown episode. Priest and McIntyre in a face-to-face segment has also been announced for next week’s SmackDown.
