The World Heavyweight title match for Backlash is set.

During Raw, it was confirmed that Damian Priest will defend the title against Jey Uso at Backlash, which takes place in Lyon, France on May 4. Uso became the new number one contender on last week’s Raw after winning a four-way match.

In a backstage segment, Balor told Priest that he thought they should aim to get back the tag team titles. Priest said Balor should focus instead on beating Uso tonight, as he’ll teach him about the word pain at Backlash. The two agreed to focus on Uso.

After Uso defeated Balor, Priest appeared on the apron as the two had a staredown. This allowed Balor, JD McDonagh, and Dominik Mysterio to jump Uso, who managed to fend them off and left through the crowd.

Priest became the new World Heavyweight Champion last weekend during the second night of WrestleMania 40. He cashed in right after Drew McIntyre, who had just won the title from Seth Rollins, was attacked by CM Punk after McIntyre repeatedly mocked him. Priest ran down to the ring and cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase, pinning McIntyre to win the title.
