Darby Alin's planned climb of Mount Everest has hit a snag. Allin confirmed to TMZ Sports that he suffered a legitimate broken foot in his match against Jay White at AEW Big Business this Wednesday. Allin broke three bones in his foot during a spot where he hit a senton on White from the top rope to the floor. Despite the injury, Allin worked the rest of his match against White. There was then a post-match angle where White, Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn "injured" Allin's ankle by Pillmanizing it with a baseball bat. The angle was supposed to write Allin off AEW programming while he completed his climb of Mount Everest. Allin tweeted that the climb will now have to wait until next year. He had first revealed in May 2023 that he was planning to climb Mount Everest in 2024. "Unfortunately the foots really broke from Wednesdays match," Allin wrote. "Everest will have to be next year."
