Alexa Bliss returned to WWE at the Royal Rumble, and the fans went crazy. She had been gone for two years, and it looked like 2025 would be her year. Bliss competed in the Elimination Chamber, so she was in contention to win a sixth world title.
But when WrestleMania 41 rolled around, Bliss was nowhere to be found. Featured women’s matches included Tiffany Stratton vs. Charlotte Flair, Naomi vs. Jade Cargill, and the show stealer of the weekend, Iyo Sky vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair.
Another bad sign for Bliss is the influx of new talent from NXT. Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, and Roxanne Perez have recently invaded the main roster. Lyra Valkyria and Stratton have won championships in their rookie year on the main roster.
Bliss made a surprise appearance on Smackdown this week. But a closer look shows that WWE officials may not consider her to be a major star anymore.
Bliss teamed up with U.S. women’s champion Zelina Vega to defeat Piper Niven & Chelsea Green. On the same episode of Smackdown, Tiffany, Charlotte, Nia Jax, and Jade Cargill were competing or talking about the WWE women’s championship. So while it’s great that WWE has secondary women’s championships, they can also serve as a dividing line between the main eventers and the mid-carders.
The fans still think Alexa Bliss is a big deal. Take a look!

Bayley is having the same problem. She was dumped from her WrestleMania match and replaced by Becky Lynch. You can’t call Bayley washed up, She won the Royal Rumble and the women’s title last year!
So how can Alexa stay relevant and move into contention for a major championship? First, she needs to decide whether she wants to continue Bray Wyatt’s legacy. She can’t go halfway. Bliss is still using Bray’s finisher, Sister Abigail. She should either completely move on from any association with Wyatt, so she should go all in.
What better way to do that than to lead the Wyatt Sicks faction? They have been virtually invisible since they were traded to Smackdown. If Bliss could take control of the group, she would have a lot of backup, and she could even team with Nikki Cross and try to regain the WWE women’s tag team title.
As we know, that division is wide open.
