Dominik Mysterio continues to drop hints that he'll be one of John Cena's final opponents before the 17-time world champion retires on December 13th. The Intercontinental Champion has spoken about his desire to lock horns with Cena before he calls time on his career at Saturday Night's Main Event this winter.

Dominik Mysterio Has John Cena On The Brain

Dominik called out Cena weeks ago and said that if he "wants some, he can come get some" while making an appearance on 'Graps and Yaps'. He added that "if that old geezer wants me to put a final nail in his coffin, I'd be more than happy to."

Cena will officially retire in December and has four dates left of his farewell tour, starting with Monday Night RAW on November 10th in Boston, Massachusetts. This will be his last hurrah in his hometown and could be the perfect destination for him to face Dirty Dom.

The 28-year-old appears to be becoming obsessed with the legendary WWE star and his latest Instagram story tells the story. He posted a snap of himself driving while listening to 'Right Now' off of Cena's studio album 'You Can't See Me'.

Reports claimed that discussions were held about Cena facing Dom after Crown Jewel, which was the 48-year-old's last outing. He defeated AJ Styles in a classic that paid tribute to some of their greatest rivals.

Cena went to hit Styles with Rey Mysterio's 619 but had second thoughts and Dom ridiculed the idea. He stated, "You guys would have seen that 619 on all the botch pages later on the internet. That would have been absolutely horrendous sh*t."

If Dom were to face Cena, he might not be doing so as Intercontinental Champion because he'll be putting his title on the line this Saturday (November 1st). The AAA Mega Champion defends the gold in a triple-threat match against Rusev and Penta at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Dominik Mysterio Should Use John Cena's 'Bad, Bad Man'

There's only limited time to make the most of quite possibly the Greatest of All-Time. That should include getting the Judgment Day member more heat if he does square off with one of the biggest babyfaces in WWE history.

Cena's studio album includes tracks that suit pro wrestling, including 'Bad, Bad Man' featuring Bumpy Knuckles. There wouldn't be anything funnier than for Dom to use this as his entrance theme for one night only to further rile up the Doctor of Thuganomics.

You can listen to John Cena's 'Bad, Bad Man' song below:

Some had hoped to see Cena use another song from his album during his heel run, but he stuck with 'My Time is Now'. To see Dirty Dom perhaps even drive to the arena in homage to Cena's WrestleMania 23 entrance while the former WWE Champion's own song plays would make for an iconic moment.
