Drew McIntyre and CM Punk’s Incredible Fight: Raw Highlights

One wrestler whose high push in the WWE has been quite visible in the recent few months is Drew McIntyre, his feud with CM Punk is continuing and has garnered much attention. In particular, he, who has received several victories in a row, recently participated in a fight at the SummerSlam against CM Punk and he won. However, the hatred between the two wrestlers does not seem to fade off as Punk again brutally attacked him during the week taping of the Monday Night RAW leading to severe injuries on the latter.

Raw Episode Highlights: Punk’s Unexpected Assault

On the August 12, 2024, episode of Monday Night RAW, WWE General Manager Adam Pearce updated Drew McIntyre that Punk could not travel. What might have been interesting for others was the update that Pearce brought and he remained oblivious to it by shifting his target towards the World Heavyweight Championship.

He was fuming especially when Randy Orton of SmackDown’s wrestler was lined up to wrestle for the title against GUNTHER; an opportunity which he deemed belonged to him. Finally, the drama started with the evening turning to fury when two wrestlers, GUNTHER and Orton, clashed.

GUNTHER, who always looks menacing, to say the least, and who has quite the flare for the dramatic with his scathing wit, focused on Orton and his family to heighten the uneasy feeling the crowd was given. As Orton began to advance on Sheamus, Drew McIntyre started walking towards the ring with the intent of fighting off both Wrestlers. However, the situation turned worse and went to another level when CM Punk showed up out of nowhere in a violent manner. 

Punk’s Brutal Attack and Drew McIntyre’s Injuries

Unpredictably, Punk came at Drew McIntyre and gave him several beatings using a belt, which was once the property of him. He did not see the attack coming until Punk first swiftly expelled him and then savaged him throughout the fight. As McIntyre tried to recover from the severe beating that Punk had just unleashed on him, Punk made sure not to linger around longer than necessary, making a sharp exit.

The consequences of the attack were seen to be emotionally arousing. In solidarity and to show the extent of the production, he shared a picture of the multiple welts that were all over his back. The photo depicted a horrific scene of the beating Punk relentlessly and clearly showed the level of force used. Drew on his back had many painful welts, the outcome of the severe confrontation that he had just experienced.

The much-hyped career rivalry between Drew McIntyre and Punk has given a new dimension to WWE shows; His recent incident has not been forgotten reminding the hatched and ready-for triangle of the industry. After he has barely escaped the wrath of this dangerous heel turn to come face to face with his vicious attacker, the WWE Universe has its eyes fixated on this rivalry.
