Drew McIntyre wins WWE men’s Money in the Bank ladder match

Drew McIntyre has won Money In the Bank.

McIntyre defeated Jey Uso, LA Knight, Andrade, Chad Gable, and Carmelo Hayes on Saturday to win the briefcase. The finish had Uso climbing to the top of the ladder, but before he could grab the briefcase McIntyre pelted Uso with another ladder and gave him a claymore off the apron. With everyone else out, McIntyre climbed up the ladder and grabbed the briefcase for the win.

After defeating Ilja Dragunov and Sheamus to qualify on Raw this past Monday, McIntyre promised to win the Money in the Bank briefcase Saturday and walk out of Toronto the World Heavyweight Champion. Damian Priest is scheduled to defend the title against Seth Rollins later in the night.

McIntyre has also been embroiled in a feud with CM Punk over the last several months. After berating Punk for getting injured during the Royal Rumble match, Punk responded by costing McIntyre his newly-won World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania after Punk laid him McIntyre out. Punk also cost McIntyre the World Heavyweight title at Clash at the Castle. McIntyre responded by assaulting Punk during an episode of SmackDown, leaving him a bloody mess.
