The Kalamazoo Wings have announced that they’ve re-signed forward Quinn Preston for the 2025-26 season. In 63 games this season, Preston put up 13 goals and 25 assists for 38 points. He is the second player to sign with Kalamazoo for the 2025-26 season, joining captain Collin Saccoman.

Preston,27, is entering his fifth pro season. He began his career in the ECHL at the end of the 2021-22 season, where he played in eight games with the Toledo Walleye, putting up two goals and five assists for seven points. Preston played five games with Toledo during the 2022 Kelly Cup Playoffs. He would sign with the Wichita Thunder for the 2022-23 season, where he had 23 goals and 38 assists for 61 points in 62 games and would be named the Wichita Thunder Rookie of the Year.

After putting up a great rookie season, Preston began the 2023-24 season overseas in the EIHL with the Belfast Giants. He played in 26 games, where he had 12 goals and 10 assists for 24 points, before returning to North America to rejoin the Thunder. He would play in 18 games with Wichita, where he had three goals and nine assists for 12 points. The Trenton, Michigan, would then be traded to the Wings, where he put up three goals and seven assists for 10 points in 16 games. He would add two goals and an assist in four games during the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
Preston began his junior career in the NAHL with the Topeka Roadrunners. In 59 games with the Roadrunners, he put up 17 goals and 17 assists for 34 points. He would add another three goals and three assists for six points in seven playoff games. Preston would spend the next two years in the USHL with the Dubuque Fighting Saints. In 115 games with the Saints, he had 38 goals and 52 assists for 90 points. He would add another seven goals and three assists for 10 points in 13 playoff games.
Preston would then take the NCAA route, spending four years at Ohio State University. In 127 games with the Buckeyes, he would put up 33 goals and 39 assists for 72 points. He wore an “A” in his final two seasons at Ohio State. In 2019, the Buckeyes would win the B1G Regular Season Championship.
