EJ Nduka is no longer with AEW following the expiration of his contract.
After Fightful reported today that Nduka is a free agent following the expiration of his AEW deal, Nduka confirmed the news in a tweet, saying he’s not someone who is meant to ride the bench.
“I was never meant to sit. Benches were made for the unsure,” Nduka wrote. “I’ve heard the call now it’s time to move. If you think this guy was made to ride the bench you need to call the 1800 number cause you suffer from mesothelioma you pencil neck reject.”

The 36-year-old Nduka is a former college football player and bodybuilder who started his pro wrestling career at the WWE Performance Center. After being released by WWE in 2021, he joined MLW and had a Tag Team title reign in the promotion while teaming with Calvin Tankman.
Nduka made his AEW debut in a Dark match in 2023 but mostly wrestled in ROH while signed to the company. He and Lee Johnson had been working together as a tag team in ROH. Nduka made a couple of appearances alongside Swerve Strickland in AEW, but their partnership did not continue after that.
