Everyone had the same complaint about WrestleMania 41’s main event

Several fans shared a similar gripe Sunday following WrestleMania 41’s main event between John Cena and Cody Rhodes.

Cena challenged Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in front of a capacity crowd at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev. As the match started to reach its climax, an intruder started to make his way toward the ring.

Instead of having someone like The Rock appear from backstage, fans had to settle for rapper Travis Scott. The Grammy-nominated artist interfered with the match, dragging the referee out of the ring when Rhodes appeared to have Cena down and out.

WWE fans were not happy with Scott playing such a huge role on professional wrestling’s biggest stage. Many voiced their complaints on social media.

Scott was involved in last month’s iconic WWE moment when Cena finally turned heel. But most already felt like he was an awkward inclusion in a storyline involving three of the WWE’s top stars. The company’s decision to double down on Scott, especially with The Rock no longer being there, did not play well with fans.

Following Scott’s interference, Cena struck Rhodes with the championship belt and later pinned him for the victory. The win gave Cena his 17th WWE championship, breaking a tie with Ric Flair for the most in history. Not a bad way for Cena to close out his all-time great WWE career.
