Finn Balor revealed the length of his WWE contract during a recent podcast appearance.

The 42-year-old announced in April that he’d signed a new deal with the company, writing “I would like to take this moment to say thank you to WWE for 10 incredible years. And after much thought and consideration, I have decided that now is the right time to say ‘I ain’t going nowhere!’

Balor told the What’s The Story podcast recently that the extension he signed is for five years.

“We sat down and had a couple of conversations and the feelings were mutual. I wanted to stay, they wanted me to stay, we hashed it out and I couldn’t be happier,” Balor said.

Balor was talking about wanting a match with Gunther when he revealed the news.

“I have expressed the opinion to the office that I would love to get to that match (vs. Gunther) in the future so fingers crossed. I’ve got five years on my deal, so if we can get it done in the next five years.”

Balor first signed with WWE in 2014. He was the inaugural Universal Champion, has held the NXT Championship twice, the Intercontinental title twice, and has won tag team titles in the promotion with Damian Priest and JD McDonagh. In 2018, Balor was voted “Most Underrated” in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Awards.
