A former WWE superstar on the Monday Night Raw brand has inked a deal with TNA Wrestling.
During the Feb. 20 episode of TNA iMPACT, fans were surprised by the appearances of three former WWE stars. The Colons, formerly known as Primo and Epico, and Elijah made their way out in the middle of Joe Hendry's encore concert. Elijah is better known to WWE as Elias.
Later that night, Elijah teamed with Hendry to defeat The Colons. He was then seen on the Feb. 27 edition of TNA iMPACT, helping Hendry chase off The System at the end of the show.
TNA Wrestling has now confirmed that Elijah has signed a deal with the company. The former four-time WWE 24/7 Champion will appear on SiriusXM's "Busted Open Radio" on Friday to discuss his signing.
Elijah's first storyline with TNA involves the promotion's world champion, Joe Hendry. Recently, Hendry questioned how long it would take before Elijah turns on him. The man formerly known as "The Drifter" insisted that the TNA World Champion has nothing to worry about.
Wrestling fans first got to know Elijah on the independent scene. He captured the IWC World Heavyweight Championship before making his NXT debut in 2014. Elijah transitioned to the main roster in 2017. He was with WWE until 2023, when he was released.
Elijah will be making his TNA pay-per-view debut on March 14. He will team with Hendry, Matt Hardy, and two mystery partners to take on The Colons, Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, and JDC of The System. The match will be featured on the TNA Sacrifice card inside El Paso County Coliseum.
