Giulia’s NXT Debut Could Be Delayed Due To Injury
@100wpodcast

A lot has been written about one of WWE’s hottest signings, but Giulia’s NXT debut could be delayed due to injury.

Ever since the stars seemed to be aligning to bring Giulia to WWE, people have been buzzing. Those who know of her firsthand are excited. Better still, those who didn’t know, now do, and are just as excited. Things got hot and heavy around WrestleMania 40 weekend. Giulia was in Philadelphia, taking it all in. Her appearance, and her time on TV during Stand And Deliver basically confirmed she was a done deal. What we also knew around that time was that she was going to do whatever she could to help friend and former Stardom boss Rossy Ogawa start his new endeavor.

Ogawa was stunningly pushed out of Stardom earlier in 2024. He quickly pivoted, launching a new promotion dubbed Marigold. While she is becoming a WWE Superstar, Giulia is still standing by her friend, agreeing to appear on a number of early shows before her NXT debut. For their part, WWE seems to have been happy to work with this arrangement.

Not great news

Well, on May 20, Giulia worked a Marigold match, and it had perhaps the worst outcome. Per a report from Fightful, the future NXT Women’s Champion (maybe?) suffered a broken wrist during this match. That injury throws her WWE debut plans into a spin. According to recent reports, creative officials have been eying a pretty significant debut opportunity for Giulia. As of this week, it was believed that in early July, at Heatwave, we will see the Japanese talent debut in NXT. That massive debut is believed to be against current NXT Champion Roxanne Perez.

Per the report, WWE officials are still optimistic that Giulia can still make her NXT debut at Heatwave. But, optimism does not cover the medical clearances. If it is a minor fracture, perhaps there is a chance that she could indeed have that impact debut in just a couple months. Or, it may be that Giulia’s NXT debut is delayed.
