Dominik Mysterio continues to provide WWE with quotable clips as the new Intercontinental Champion. Already growing on fans as one of the most likeable heels in the business, his recent interviews are offering up more reasons to get on the Dirty Dom train and cheer for him. The latest comments include several shots at CM Punk, who just recently realized his dream by being in the main event of WrestleMania 41.

Speaking with The Wrestling Classic, Dom said:
“I f---ing hate CM Punk. I don’t know what it is about that guy, I don’t know if it’s because he looks like Eddie Munster and I just want to kick him in the f---ing face, or the fact that everyone’s like ‘oh he finally did it, he finally got his WrestleMania main event’, like good for you old man, 60 years old, took you 45 years to accomplish your one goal, like god damn dude it’s about time."
Dom went on to compare Punk to a baby, saying that he had a tantrum until he got what he wanted. He added, "So I’m pretty sure that’s what happened, that’s why he needed a favor from Paul Heyman, because there was obviously a reason he was never in the main event, right?"
Punk, who often goes by the moniker 'Best in the World' is being challenged by Dom for that title. Dominik said, "You call yourself the best in the world, I don’t need to go around calling myself the best in the world because people know I am, I’m better than the best." He added, "I don’t need to go out there calling myself ‘best in the world’ at 70 years old. You have these legends talking about me, I don’t need to do it myself.”
Is this all leading to a match between Punk and Dominik? One would certainly hope so. The groundwork Dom is laying for an eventual bout with Punk is incredible stuff, and a match between the two would be a fun contest, even if it weren't for the title and Punk has his sights set on The World Title or getting his hands on Paul Heyman (who betrayed him) Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker.
