Hikuleo, born Tautuiaki Taula Koloamatangi, officially signed with WWE in July 2024 following a successful run in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He was a member of both the Bullet Club and Guerrillas of Destiny and was one of the company's more notable big men. WWE signed him, and fans who knew his work thought he would debut quickly and join the New Bloodline. WWE chose instead to wait, hoping to come up with a creative plan that made more sense. He's been training in Florida at the WWE Performance Center, and he's waiting for his opportunity.
Hikuleo is the adopted son of wrestling legend Haku and part of a storied wrestling family that includes his brothers Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa. His lineage, combined with his international experience, has made him one of the most intriguing prospects in recent years. Whether he becomes a standout like Jacob Fatu did remains to be seen. It sounds like WWE is going to give him every opportunity to build up his profile in NXT.
With his size, pedigree, and global resume, WWE appears to be positioning Hikuleo as a major player on NXT as early as May or June. Fans of the black-and-gold brand can likely expect him to make an immediate impact when he steps into the ring—possibly setting the stage for a fast track to main-event status.
It doesn't sound like WWE has a plan to push him on the main roster, meaning he likely won't be inserted into any storylines involving the Bloodline. That means he won't be joining Solo Sikoa and his crew.
