The Miz stopped Jey from repeating the 'Yeet' movement with the fans for the second time, which led to a heated match between the two. In one of the spots during the match, The Miz pulled off Cena's iconic move. The commentators wondered if it was a homage or a mockery on The Miz's part.
The match, however, did not deliver the goods. The Miz attempted to deliver a Skull Crushing Finale, which Jey countered. The Bloodline star had a botch as he tried to deliver what seemed to be a Samoan Drop from the top rope, only to end up falling over.
Despite all the hiccups, Jey delivered a spear and followed it up with a Uso Splash to claim a win via pinfall. Fans were unhappy with the way Jey won and The Miz lost. Among the two, The Miz has the bigger history with John Cena, and hence, the fans wanted him to win.
However, it wasn't the case, as Jey, the more 'over' star among the two currently, progressed further. Hence, the fans are now asking for a match between Cena and The Miz for the IC Title in one of his last three remaining dates, which would help them revisit their feud.
