WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan passed away on July 24 at the age of 71 in Clearwater, Florida. His passing is still sending shock waves through the pro wrestling community. Now, in an exclusive report from Page Six, an official cause of death has been revealed. According to the report, the cause was acute myocardial infarction, which is known as a heart attack. Though the records revealed that Hogan had been dealing with other past medical issues, too.

Hulk Hogan Had A Complex Medical History

In the documents obtained by Page Six, it showed that Hogan had a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), which, according to the Mayo Clinic, means an "irregular and often very rapid heart rhythm.” The condition also increases the risk of stroke, heart failure, and other heart-related complications.

In another shocking admission, the records also revealed that Hogan had a history of cancer, leukemia CLL. It’s a cancer that affects white blood cells called lymphocytes. It’s worth mentioning that neither Hogan nor his family ever brought up the fact that the Hall of Famer ever had or battled cancer in his lifetime. It’s unclear when he was first diagnosed.

It was noted in the report that the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center had ruled the manner of his death natural. Also, a spokesperson for the medical examiner’s office told Page Six that they “received a request for cremation approval.”

Despite Hogan’s Past Medical Issues, Friends Still Shocked

One clear thing is that Hogan’s death has not just shocked fans, but also his closest friends. As reported, Jimmy Hart, not only a best friend, but also his longtime manager, had spoken to Hogan’s assistant the night before his passing was told that he was “doing great.” Hart had also revealed that just a month before Hogan’s neck surgery, which took place in May, they were together eating and interacting with fans. Ric Flair was also shocked. He spoke with Hogan just two weeks prior to his passing.

His friends have also been critical of those who bring up Hogan’s past controversies. Kevin Nash, who had been close with Hogan since their days in WCW, gave a blunt speech on his podcast, Kliq This, where he told critics to “think about Hogan’s friends and family.” Nash, like so many, also thought that Hogan was going to pull through.
