WWE Hall of Famer and one of the most famous wrestlers of all time, Hulk Hogan, has suddenly passed away at the age of 71. The report comes from TMZ, claiming emergency services were called to Hogan's home in Florida this morning after the former professional wrestler reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest.

Hulk Hogan Has Passed Away After Suffering A Cardiac Arrest

Claims that Hogan suffered from a cardiac arrest come directly from EMT operators. The report also claims that there were multiple police cars and EMTs outside of Hogan's home as the wrestler was brought out of the house on a stretcher. It's unclear if he had passed away by the time emergency services arrived or if Hogan died while being treated for the cardiac arrest.

Hogan's passing comes just a few weeks after The Hulkster's wife, Sky, denied claims that the wrestler had fallen into a coma. Among them were people claiming Hogan was in bad shape, but his wife, whom Hogan married less than two years ago, reassured fans that the multi-time WWE Champion was simply recovering from his most recent neck surgery, one that he underwent back in May.

His death also comes shortly after Hogan revealed his latest business venture, a foray back into the wrestling business with his close friend Eric Bischoff. A promotion dubbed Real American Freestyle Wrestling that will be a blend of real amateur wrestling and the professional wrestling business that Hogan is synonymous with. Whether that venture will continue without Hogan is currently unclear.

Hulk Hogan's Influence On The Pro Wrestling Business Is Immeasurable

Hogan is not only a cornerstone of the pro wrestling business, but when carving its Mount Rushmore, he is one of, if not always the first name, people mention when discussing who should be up there. Without Hogan, the WWE simply wouldn't have been what it was during the 1980s, a decade during which the company established a foundation on which everything it has built still stands.

Even though Hogan divided fans somewhat during his post in-ring career, no matter how you feel about him or what generation of WWE you grew up watching, there is no arguing that he is one of the biggest and best pro wrestlers of all time. He helped put pro wrestling on the map and went on to transcend the business unlike any before him, and to an extent that very few have replicated since. Our hearts go out to his friends, family, and the millions of Hulkamaniacs around the world.
