One of the biggest names in professional wrestling history, Hulk Hogan, passed away on July 24th after going into cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida.
Page Six was able to confirm that the official cause of death has been ruled as an acute myocardial infarction, otherwise known as a heart attack. It was also reported that Hogan dealt with atrial fibrillation (AFib) irregular heart rhythm that begins in your heart’s upper chambers.
Hogan's records also showed that he had a history of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, a cancer affecting the white blood cells. It doesn't seem that many knew of his cancer diagnosis.
After a neck surgery, former friend Bubba the Love Sponge claimed that Hogan's health was quite poor, but his team denied such rumors.
Hogan's close friend and partner in Real American Freestyle, Eric Bischoff, said,
"Hulk Hogan had a very successful cervical surgery and is experiencing some adverse reaction. He’s doing well and should be home later today. Doctors expecting a full recovery."
The professional wrestling world has paid tribute to Hogan with WWE airing multiple moments of silence on Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, while other promotions like TNA and All Elite Wrestling also held tributes to his career.
