Jacob Fatu Injury Update Does Not Look Positive

There was concern Jacob Fatu was hurt at WWE SummerSlam and latest injury update indicates The Bloodline member could be out indefinitely.

At SummerSlam, the event closed with Cody Rhodes defeating Solo Sikoa. It was not the easiest win as The Bloodline get involved. Although, Roman Reigns returned and took out Solo; allowing Rhodes to keep his title. Unfortunately, it appeared Jacob Fatu was injured. There was debate if it was a work, but that does not seem to be the case.

According to PWInsider, Fatu was not at SmackDown after being seen in a boot following SummerSlam. The absence has many under the belief he might be away indefinitely. The timing could not be worse. First, he just won the tag titles on SmackDown right before SummerSlam. Maybe, WWE allows someone else from The Bloodline to fill his role. Second, we are seeing The Bloodline civil war grow as Reigns and Solo fight for control.

In a short time, WWE brought in a bunch of Anoaʻi members. With Fatu not around, the company will have to scramble. Since the angle is about family, there are not many options. They still have Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso. They looked set to help Reigns, but plans could have changed. Hopefully, the twins do not side with Solo.

Whenever he is ready, Fatu looks like a major star. For someone his size, he moves like a cruiserweight. The former MLW Heavyweight Champion does have past legal issues, hence it creates problems traveling overseas. Still, WWE can work around that concern. Not being medically cleared is a different story. So, does the latest Jacob Fatu injury update mean The Bloodline angle is doomed?
