Jacob Fatu dreams of facing Jeff Hardy one day and thinks the former WWE star is 'one of the dopest' to have competed in the squared circle.

Jacob Fatu Wants To Face Jeff Hardy

The Samoan Werewolf is on the rise in WWE in a similar fashion to how Hardy became a household name in the business. He has become one of the company's top stars since debuting in June 2024.

Fatu is a former United States Champion, one of the many WWE titles held by the Charismatic Enigma during his illustrious career. The duo have yet to square off against one another, but the 33-year-old hopes they do one day (via The Rich Eisen Show):

"Jeff Hardy, man, I want to have a match with Jeff. Man, one of the dopest. Man, yeah. I mean, Jeff."

Jeff is busy competing in TNA, where he is one-half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions with his brother Matt. But the 47-year-old has made sporadic appearances in WWE this year as part of the promotion's partnership with TNA.

The former three-time WWE world champion has a history of facing larger wrestlers and putting on classics. He Falls Count Anywhere Match against the late Umaga at One Night Stand 2007 was one of the most entertaining matches of his career.

Jeff Hardy wasn't the only former WWE star namedropped by Fatu during his interview as a potential dream opponent. He also revealed:

"I’m a huge fan of Tajiri."

Tajiri isn't as well-known as Hardy or Fatu, but he was a fan favourite during his time in WWE, winning the United States Championship once and the Cruiserweight Championship on three occasions. He's another smaller high-flyer who'd make for an interesting pairing against the Samoan heavyweight.

The 54-year-old Japanese star took part in WWE's Cruiserweight Classic in 2017, which was his last appearance for the company. He was last an active member of the roster from 2001-2005.

Fatu also named some of the main roster as opponents he's enjoyed facing since arriving in WWE. He said he was blessed to face "cats" like Carmelo Hayes, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa and Andrade.

It may not be too long before Fatu faces main event stars such as Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes in main events on PLEs. He is quite possibly the fastest rising star in WWE, a stance echoed by the reigning WWE Champion.
