In comparison to the King Of The Ring tournament, in which the winner of Cody Rhodes felt pretty obvious, the finals of the WWE Queen Of The Ring 2025 tournament between Jade Cargill and Asuka was way harder to guess, with both having logical opponents for SummerSlam. After a back and forth contest at Night Of Champions, “The Storm” Jade Cargill is officially your brand new Queen Of The Ring winner, and will go onto SummerSlam to challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship, the title currently held by Tiffany Stratton.

Jade Cargill and Asuka felt each other out in the early stages of this contest, but it wasn’t long until things broke down into a more physical contest with some powerful moves, vicious strikes, and back-and-forth sequences. They each looked like one another’s equals throughout, sharing a similar amount of offense and taking turns in control. In the final stages though, Asuka went for her signature Empress Impact running hip attack, but Cargill caught her mid-air, setting her up for a quick Jaded and nailing her for the three-count and clean victory.
After previously holding the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles alongside Bianca Belair, this marks Cargill’s first ever singles accomplishment since signing with WWE at the back end of 2023, and it also sets her up to challenge for a world title in the company for the first time ever.
Ever since returning to WWE programming at the Elimination Chamber 2025 PLE after being taken out by Naomi backstage, Jade Cargill has continued to build momentum throughout the year. She firstly had to fend off former ally Naomi, who turned into a crazed individual during the Road To WrestleMania season as she sought to try and take Cargill out for good. After defeating Naomi decisively at the event , her attention then turned to the 2025 Queen Of The Ring tournament, where she outlasted the likes of Roxanne Perez, Michin, Nia Jax and Piper Niven to reach the finals, finally defeating Asuka at Night Of Champions.
Tiffany Stratton is the current reigning and defending WWE Women’s Champion and Cargill’s scheduled opponent for now, but Naomi is waiting in the wings with the Money In The Bank briefcase, and could strike at any time, even at SummerSlam to create a stormy downpour on Cargill’s parade.
