With his popularity growing and his schedule getting busier, Joe Hendry is thinking about finding a place to live in the United States.

Hendry told Chris Van Vliet on a new episode of Insight that the last time he was home in Scotland was three or four weeks ago — and he was only there for one day. Hendry’s TNA and NXT schedule has made it so he doesn’t know when he’ll be home next

“Certainly,” Hendry responded when asked if he’s thought about finding somewhere to live in the U.S. “I was kind of thinking about it last year as well, but I think we’re at the point now where, like I said, I’ve been home for one full day, the time before I was home for two full days. I love Scotland. I love it. But I need to have a place here.”

Hendry said his travel days from Scotland to the U.S. can be as long as 21-28 hours. He views the travel time as a price he’s willing to pay to live his dream, and going back to Scotland is something Hendry needs to do from time to time to feel centered.

This year has seen Hendry win the TNA World Championship, compete at the WWE Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, and make appearances for NXT. He’s set to defend his TNA World Championship against Trick Williams at NXT Battleground later this month.

Hendry is in his contract year with TNA Wrestling, leading to speculation that he could join WWE full-time when his TNA contract is up. Paul “Triple H” Levesque praised Hendry after WrestleMania 41 and said he thinks there are more WrestleManias in Hendry’s future.

The 37-year-old Hendry told Van Vliet that he isn’t thinking about what’s going to happen next because he’s so focused on everything he has going on right now. At the moment, he is the TNA World Champion and his job is to bring as many fans to TNA as possible.
