  • John Cena will not be getting a new theme despite turning heel.
  • However, fans have taken it upon themselves to compose heel themes for him.
  • Some are great and sound like they'd fit different occasions during Cena's heel run.

John Cenagraced the WWE Universe with his presence on Raw this week for the first time since the heel turn that shocked the world. Many fans might have been expecting Cena to have undergone a makeover, but that hasn't happened. Cena is wearing the same clothes and has the same theme, addressing that fans expecting all of that to have changed is exactly why it hasn't.

John Cena Won't Be Changing His Theme Despite Turning Heel

Fans might have been expecting a new theme, in particular, since it's believed there's a heel Cena theme out there somewhere that never got used. There were plans to turn Cena heel more than a decade ago with merch reportedly made and a theme, which Cena created himself, ready to go. However, that heel turn never happened, and since Cena still won't be using the theme even though he has finally turned, it will presumably never see the light of day.

Since Cena won't be using his lost heel theme, nor does there appear to be another one for his turn, some talented WWE fans have taken it upon themselves to create their own. They're pretty good too with three standouts you can check out below, all of them bringing something different to the table, but all themes that would fit a newly-turned heel Cena.

WWE Fans Take It Upon Themselves To Create Heel Themes For Cena

A tried and true method in WWE when a wrestler turns heel is to simply tweak the music they already have - think Japanese lyrics being added to Shiinsuke Nakamura's theme to prevent fans from singing along. Sora Okami's heel take on Cena's iconic theme changes the lyrics, but it's the slower, more jarring opening to the theme that I think would have made it fitting of the Cena we have right now in WWE.

While Okami's theme would have been great for the bulk of Cena's run, Bzaafied The Yatagarasu's is the direction I wish WWE had gone for Cena's first heel appearance on Raw. The video is fantastic, showing images of Cena throughout his career, and that coupled with the somber music they've created playing on the big screen as a serious-looking Cena trapsed to the ring on Monday night would have made for wrestling cinema.

Last but certainly not least is JVitorMusic's attempt at a heel Cena theme. This one would have fit an entirely different occasion and, if anything, could have been saved for Cena's big heel entrance at WrestleMania if it were an official track created by WWE. The orchestral opening being performed live for what will be Cena's final WrestleMania entrance would have been something really special. Plus, the rest of the track feels like it has been blended with The Rock's theme, so perfect considering who Cena has fallen in line behind.
