In what can only be assumed will be the most violent match AEW will put on this year, Jon Moxley and Darby Allin are preparing for war at WrestleDream on Saturday, October 18th. Their "I Quit" match is the next chapter in the ongoing blood feud between The Death Riders and AEW's reluctant savior, spilling blood and causing chaos along the way.

Moxley and Allin are no strangers to violence as a means to an end, and by any means necessary, and their match at WrestleDream will either further escalate this war, or end it for good. Ahead of their match, Jon Moxley and Darby Allin spoke exclusively with TheSportster during New York Comic Con, and told us their potential last words to each other for one another as they embark on another violent and brutal passage in their epic AEW feud.

Jon Moxley Keeps It Short, But Succinct

As the leader of the Death Riders, Jon Moxley has spent the better part of the past two years inflicting violence on the AEW roster, all while holding the AEW Championship hostage for a significant period of that time. After numerous battles between him and Allin, including their outrageous Coffin Match at All Out which saw Allin attempt to light Moxley on fire after his loss, Moxley was ready to end their feud, and Allin, for good, and said the only way to stop him was to make him quit, and their match for WrestleDream was set in motion,

During the signing of the AEW/DC Comics crossover comic book, Moxley gave us his parting words for Allin. While Moxley is a man of few words, his trademark intensity brings the point home in a way that should give Allin pause before Saturday's match.

I don't need any words. He's got all the words, and he only needs two words, and those words are, 'I quit', and that's going to be what he says.

Darby Allin Is Ready For The Violence

Although Jon Moxley may see himself as the leader of violence in AEW, Darby Allin should not be taken lightly ahead of their "I Quit" match at WrestleDream. Allin has been relentless in his pursuit of Moxley, including chasing him from the ring with a blow torch during AEW Dynamite, and attacking him during the AEW x DC Comics panel at New York Comic Con.

During his appearance at the Pro Wrestling Tees booth, Allin told me about what he's been doing to prepare for the match.

I've been training for this 'I Quit' match. I've been putting myself through hell.

Allin then called his brother, Zack, over to show off the welts he'd left on his back with his studded belt, cocked back, and walloped him with a deafening smack against his skin. Allin looked proud, albeit unhinged, and smirked as he reiterated his final point: "I've been training."

Jon Moxley and Darby Allin face off in their "I Quit" match at AEW WrestleDream on Saturday, October 18th from the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, MO. The event can be seen on HBO Max, Prime Video, and TrillerTV. Check your local listings for start times in your area.
