  • Karrion Kross's WWE future is uncertain due to a lack of contract discussions.
  • WWE has not offered Kross a new deal, raising concerns about his tenure.
  • Kross returned in 2022, but his push has not materialized, leading to doubts about his status.

The future of Karrion Kross in WWE is suddenly uncertain, as a lack of movement on a new contract has many wondering if the former NXT Champion and current main roster performer could be on his way out. Following a string of cuts due to a cost-benefit analysis, Kross might be in jeopardy of not being offered a new deal if WWE feels he's not worth the investment.

Will WWE Let Kross' Contract Expire?

WWE informed R-Truth, Carlito, and Sarah Logan that their contracts would not be extended. Already, WWE has seemingly pulled them from programming, and fans are starting to wonder who else might be released or not renewed. According to Fightful Select, Kross is currently in the final months of his WWE deal, and surprisingly, the company has yet to approach him about a renewal. The report notes that, as of early June, WWE had not initiated any contract talks, nor had there been any indication of interest in retaining him beyond his current term.

The silence has raised eyebrows, especially given that Kross recently addressed frustrations about his contract status being leaked. He's also been gaining a groundswell of support from fans for the viral videos and reactions he's posting online, taking the lead from other social media icons who believe that building a brand will help his stock in WWE. Thus far, WWE hasn't responded by offering him a push as a character. It seems logical that it wouldn't change if a new contract is not ironed out in the coming days or weeks.

Will Kross's Latest Run Wind Up Being Uneventful?

Kross returned to WWE in 2022 after a brief, poorly received stint on the main roster in 2021, during which he was infamously repackaged with a gladiator-style helmet and stripped of much of what made him a standout in NXT. The hope was that his second run under Triple H's creative direction would be much more successful. It began with promise but ultimately fizzled out as he struggled to maintain any momentum.

It wasn't until he snapped on a podcast interview and started doing backstage segments that grabbed fans' attention. Perhaps it's too little, too late.

As it stands, the lack of movement has cast a shadow over Kross’s WWE future. Whether this is part of a larger strategy by WWE or simply an oversight remains to be seen.
