When a member of a tag team is out of action with injury, there’s immediately speculation about the other person. They can either go on a singles run, then reunite the tag team when their partner gets back. The wrestler could get stuck in catering, which could be a bad sign if they don’t wrestle for months. Sometimes, those two things go hand in hand. That’s the case for Kit Wilson of Pretty Deadly.
His partner, Elton Prince, has been out with an injury since May. He was on hiatus until a couple of weeks ago, reappearing in a backstage segment. Since then, he’s been poking the bear with a certain wrestler, continuing to antagonize him every week.
For months, people were wondering about the status of Pretty Deadly. Everyone knew Prince was out injured. But there was worry from fans about Wilson as the weeks went by. Did he already make his last appearance as a WWE wrestler? Were they waiting for Prince to be one hundred percent to bring him back? He reappeared on Friday Night SmackDown two weeks ago, talking to Nick Aldis. Very animated, he told Aldis about how toxic masculinity had infected the locker room.
Priest came barging in, wanting a rematch against Aleister Black for what he thought wasn’t a fair fight. Wilson interrupted, saying Priest’s tirade was an example of toxic masculinity. Priest didn’t like what he had to say, so he put him through the wall. The following week, Wilson reappeared backstage in a wheelchair with a sling. He again yelled at Priest for what he viewed as toxic behavior.
Before Priest could touch him, he tried to run but fell on the floor after running into the wheelchair. On the October 3rd, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown, he once again tried to berate Priest for his behavior.
After getting off easy last week, Priest caused his downfall once again. He pushed him into his chair after standing up, but rolled him away from the camera’s view as he cut a promo towards Black. No matter how much Priest hurts him, Wilson keeps getting back up and warning him about how he is being toxic. Priest has been concurrently in a feud with Black this whole time.
Next week, there will be a Last Man Standing Match between the two men. It remains to be seen how Wilson will be factored into the match. Will he cost Priest or will he berate him once again backstage? One thing that’s clear is that the rivalry between the two men is just getting started.
