After years of being wheelchair-bound from a spinal cord injury brought upon by the physical toll from wrestling and football, former WCW and WWE star Lex Luger has made an astonishing breakthrough: standing up using his own power. Thanks to his unwavering determination and the guidance of Diamond Dallas Page and his fitness program, Luger’s progress has stunned wrestling fans everywhere.
Wrestling legend Lex Luger has achieved a significant milestone in his recovery journey. After years of being in a wheelchair due to a spinal cord injury in 2007, Luger recently stood up unassisted, a feat made possible through his dedicated work with fellow WWE Hall Of Famer Diamond Dallas Page. DDP shared this inspiring progress in a video on his official YouTube channel, highlighting Luger's determination and the effectiveness of their collaborative efforts.
Luger's health challenges began in October 2007 when he suffered a nerve impingement in his neck, leading to temporary paralysis. Over the years, his mobility was severely restricted, eventually resulting in complete reliance on a wheelchair. Despite these setbacks, Luger's commitment to rehabilitation, combined with DDP's innovative yoga and fitness program, has culminated in this massive achievement.
For wrestling fans who are unaware, DDP has become a beacon of hope for many wrestlers struggling with health issues, addiction, and injuries. Through his DDP Yoga program, he has helped numerous stars regain their physical and mental well-being. Most famously, he played a crucial role in rehabilitating Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Scott Hall, both of whom were battling severe alcoholism and declining health. By bringing them into his home and guiding them through a structured fitness and recovery program, DDP helped them turn their lives around, leading to their eventual induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame.
Lex Luger hopes to achieve the same end results, improving his mobility in order to walk across the stage whenever he gets inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. Beyond Roberts, Hall, and Luger, DDP has extended his support to several other wrestlers, including Chris Jericho, who credits DDP Yoga for extending his in-ring career, and Buff Bagwell, who has been open about his struggles with addiction and injuries. Scotty Riggs, another former WCW star, has also benefited from DDP’s guidance.
