Aleister Black says coming back to WWE feels like coming home. He raved about the locker room and how the backstage scene in WWE is night and day different from anything he's ever experienced. Nothing like any other locker room, and even quite different from when he was last with the company, Black was extremely complimentary of how things are operating these days.

Black Praises WWE's Locker Room Scene

During an interview with The Atomic Drop newsletter, Black talked about returning to WWE while he was there to promote WWE Clash in Paris. He stated that it just felt right and natural, and that there is nothing like the WWE is running its shows.

Black talked about the first day back, and physically being backstage, and being quote-unquote reintroduced to the company. He called it a mixed feeling of nostalgia and familiarity, but also a sense that he was walking back into the unknown. He noted, "...internally, its guts have been like rearranged if that makes sense, because it's no longer the same people in charge, but at the same time, it's the same people that I connected with the first time around."

He said he was nervous, but everything felt the same in the most positive sense. He said he had to remind himself that he knew people and his anxiety went away. He noted, "And I'm like, yeah, this time around, it's even better, you know what I mean? Because I've always had a good relationship with Triple H, and I get along great with Nick Khan, and the locker room is something that I've always preached about, how fantastic the boys are in WWE."

Black Is Thrilled To Be "Home"

Black said he knows that saying he' "home" sounds somewhat cliché. At the same time, he did admit "I think that was the first time I could ever say it felt like coming home and everything made sense again."

He noted that even despite being the system for eight years before his return, it still amazes him that WWE is run via a completely different system than anything else. "Nothing is like WWE, no locker room I've ever been in, and it just felt like this is what it's supposed to be for me, you know?" He added, "...and everybody's just going around doing what they always do and everything is just right, it works, everything runs so smoothly. Then, we get ready for the show, and here we go, rock and roll, everybody's heading in the same direction and that’s just a really good feeling.”
