Logan Paul shares a screenshot of his year-old wish that finally came true at King and Queen of the Ring
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

A spot that stood out from Logan Paul‘s match against Cody Rhodes at King and Queen of the Ring PLE was The Maverick going all-out to deliver a frog splash on The American Nightmare from the top rope through the commentary table. What a pleasing sight it was! And the 360° camera work was just the icing on the cake. However, that thing of beauty was over a year in the making.

Logan Paul recently took to X to post a screenshot of his conversation with his boss in WWE, presumably Triple H . It dates back to May 10 of last year, when the United States Champion first pitched the idea of using an FVP drone. Paul wanted to incorporate that cutting-edge facility in his match at WrestleMania 39, but he couldn’t due to some issues at the venue.

The 29-year-old said that it would be a cool opportunity to hire a first-person view drone, abbreviated as FPV drone, to shoot any of his high-risk maneuvers. Back then, things didn’t pan out the way Paul wanted them to. However, almost a year later, Logan lived his dream. That picturesque frog splash he nailed on Cody Rhodes was straight out of the textbooks.

Despite giving his all, of course, the brass knuckles too, the social media megastar succumbed to the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Cody hit him with a trifecta of Cross Rhodes to retain his title. After the show, the boxer-turned-wrestler seemingly broke character to thank Mr. Rhodes for the match they had. From here on, the two men seem pegged to embark on their respective routes in a joust to remain unscathed with gold around their waists.

What’s next for Logan Paul after King and Queen of the Ring?

Despite putting on clinics on the trot, Logan Paul remains under scrutiny from the WWE Universe. A concerning statistic from his reign as the United States Champion states that he has defended the title only twice in over 200 days.

He won the strap from Rey Mysterio last year at Crown Jewel. Fans thought that he’d restore much-needed prestige to the mid-card title, which he lowkey did. However, not in terms of work-rate. It remains to be seen who uproots the Clevelander for the gold. But has WWE already teased Paul’s next major feud?

They did so. Last week on SmackDown, the champ came face-to-face with LA Knight. The two were previously rumored for a title showdown at WrestleMania XL. However, that being in the rearview mirror, it’s expected that they’re going to battle it out at SummerSlam.
