WWE veteran AJ Styles has been absent from programming since his loss to Cody Rhodes in an “I Quit” match at Clash at the Castle. He made his return late last year as a heel, but it’s fair to say that fans still liked him as a wrestler. Amidst all this, there has been a major update on The Phenomenal One’s prolonged absence.
According to reports from Fightful Select, the former WWE Champion is in excellent condition. He even wrestled at five consecutive house shows, battling Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. The reason behind AJ Styles‘ absence from WWE TV is that he isn’t being used properly. Unfortunately, there is no timetable for The Phenomenal One’s return.
Styles had a storied rivalry with LA Knight leading up to WrestleMania XL and suffered a significant loss to him. After the Showcase of the Immortals, the veteran had a brief run as a tweener against Cody Rhodes and fought him for the Undisputed WWE Title. In a five-star classic match, the OC leader lost and was unable to win the title at Backlash.
AJ Styles is healthy, but just isn’t being used by WWE on programming.

However, after multiple failures, Styles turned heel and brutally attacked the champion by faking his retirement. After once again failing to win the title and screaming “I Quit” at Clash at the Castle, The Phenomenal One disappeared. Fans are clamoring for him to make a comeback to WWE and fight to win the title once again.
