A championship has changed hands on the "AEW Revolution 2025" card.
Six matches were booked for the pay-per-view portion of the event. That included an AEW World Championship match between titleholder Jon Moxley and Cope. An AEW Women's World Championship battle between Toni Storm and Mariah May was also on the docket for Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Fans also witness former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega challenge Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW International Championship. Prior to "AEW Revolution," Omega failed to defeat Takeshita in singles competition under the AEW banner.
Omega was finally able to score a victory over Takeshita, capturing the AEW International Championship for the first time in the process. Takeshita's manager, Don Callis, interfered in the match, but he couldn't stop his former pupil from capturing gold.

"The Best Bout Machine" and Takeshita were in a pin battle at the end of their "AEW Revolution match. Ultimately, it was Omega who kept his opponent's arms on the mat for the three-count.
Rumors have been swirling online claiming AEW could plan for a title unification bout between Omega and AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada. "The Rainmaker" defeated Brody King to retain the AEW Continental Championship at "AEW Revolution."
AEW has already teased a potential match between Omega and Okada for "AEW All In 2025" at Globe Life Field in Arlington on July 12. Time will tell if that is indeed the plan and if both Omega and Okada can hold onto their title before AEW's biggest pay-per-view event of the year.
